Job Summary/Objective:We are looking for a talented and creative Associate Photographer to join our team here on the Big Island. The ideal candidate is based in Kailua-Kona, detail-oriented, responsible, and brings a passion for capturing meaningful memories for clients. While photography experience is preferred, we are willing to train the right individual.Responsibilities:1.) The primary focus of the role will be taking, editing, printing, and selling luau photos.2.) Additionally, you will be responsible for picking up mini sessions, beach portrait sessions, and second shooting for Weddings.3.) Use your creative and technical skills to produce visually appealing photographs.4.) Collaborate with clients to understand their vision and preferences to ensure a personalized experience.5.) Edit and retouch photos using Adobe Lightroom Classic to meet company standards.6.) Maintain and organize photography equipment for use.7.) Manage data by properly offloading and organizing sessions.Qualifications:1.) Proficiency in using photography equipment and Adobe editing software.2.) Strong communication and interpersonal skills for client interactions.3.) Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.4.) Customer serviceWork Environment:The Associate Photographer will primarily work outdoors on beaches and resort properties, adapting to different weather conditions and lighting situations. Luau photos are typically scheduled 4-5 nights a week from about 4pm - 8:30pm. We strive to make every photoshoot a unique and enjoyable experience for families and couples alike.Location:This position is based in Kona, and reliable transportation is required to reach beach locations on the west coast of the Big Island. Applicants must be legally eligible to work in the USA.Salary:Base pay of $18-$20/hr (DOE) + Commissions on sales.
