Pocket.watch is currently seeking a talented Unreal Engine Animator. The ideal candidate has 2 years of Unreal experience, enjoys storytelling, and has a great understanding of layout and pacing. This is an excellent opportunity to get in on the ground floor of a trailblazing entertainment company and work with top industry executives. Responsibilities: Collaborate with other artists, directors and producers throughout story development and episode production. Complete shots from Layout through Render in Unreal Engine 5. Animate characters using a combination of body and facial mocap, Mixamo and Keyframe Animation. Experience with Take Recorder and Sequencer to record gameplay and build shots within Unreal. Capture facial performance using Live Link Face to pre-recorded audio performance. Clean Mocap using additive blends and control rigs within Unreal Engine. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Knowledge and Experience: 2+ years of industry experience working with Unreal Engine. (VFX / Game Dev or Virtual Production). Experience using Perforce. Experience Animating with Maya. Experience Cleaning Motion Capture. Skills: Excellent communication / interpersonal skills. Excellent attention to detail. Ability to improvise and adapt to shifting project goals. Solid organization skills with adherence to file structures, naming conventions, and other established protocols. Independent and self-driven; able to meet deadlines with minimal supervision in a fast-paced production environment. Work environment: The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions and work is performed in a business office environment or remotely. If required to work at any Company office, location, or with any Company employee, the worker must provide written proof of COVID-19 vaccination from the vaccine administrator or a CDC vaccination card, which includes the vaccination place, date(s), and name of vaccine. Physical demands: Must have close visual acuity to perform the primary responsibilities of this position. Work is sedentary in nature and involves sitting most of the time.
