Construction Project Manager - 631137

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Construction Project Manager to oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of multiple construction projects from inception to completion. This role will ensure that projects are executed efficiently, on time, and within budget while adhering to safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, communication, and project management skills and experience in overseeing complex construction projects, especially in Water, Transmission, or Distribution sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage all aspects of construction projects, from planning through to completion and warranty periods.
  • Collaborate with the EPC Project Manager or Program Manager to ensure project safety, quality, schedule, and cost control.
  • Direct and supervise daily construction activities, including managing subcontractors, suppliers, and field teams.
  • Oversee project planning, scheduling, cost development, and estimation processes, ensuring alignment with client expectations and project goals.
  • Develop and nurture client relationships, ensuring seamless communication and successful project execution.
  • Negotiate and manage contracts, subcontracts, and change orders.
  • Manage project execution plans, including quality assurance, safety, staffing, procurement, and more.
  • Ensure all required permits are obtained and manage the RFP/bid process for subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Review and approve project reports, including budget forecasts, cash flow, and project status updates, and present them to senior management.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure timely delivery of engineering deliverables.
  • Oversee contract administration processes, including RFIs, change management, and project closeout.
  • Ensure project compliance with insurance, licensure, and bonding requirements.
  • Conduct audits and assessments of safety, quality, and financial performance.
  • Mentor and train staff, providing performance feedback and fostering professional growth.
  • Manage labor agreements, craft competencies, and staffing needs to ensure successful project execution.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • At least 7 years of relevant experience in construction project management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software (e.g., scheduling, cost control tools).
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Previous experience managing construction projects in industries such as water, energy, transmission & distribution, or similar sectors is preferred.
  • A basic understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
  • Must be able to meet company driving requirements.
