General Description:
The Fishing Community Manager is a dynamic and multifaceted role crucial to building brand awareness and nurturing the AFTCO community. This individual will be the primary point of contact for our pro staff, media partners, and online audience, fostering positive relationships and promoting the AFTCO brand across various channels. This role requires a passion for community building, strong communication skills, and a proactive approach to managing multiple projects simultaneously. The Community Manager will collaborate closely with the marketing team and other departments to execute community engagement strategies and contribute to the overall success of AFTCO.
Responsibilities:
Pro Staff Management
- Manage all aspects of the AFTCO Pro Team, including communication, activation, and organization.
- Oversee quarterly pro product seeding, ensuring timely delivery + communication and effective promotion.
- Coordinate product testing with pro staff, assisting the product team with gathering feedback.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with pro staff members, acting as their primary point of contact.
- Track and report on pro staff activities and performance.
Media Relations
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with media outlets, affiliates, and influencers to enhance brand visibility.
- Serve as the main point of contact for all media relations activities, including product requests, image requests, and logistical coordination for editorial coverage.
- Negotiate annual advertising rates and activations with media partners.
- Monitor media coverage and track results.
Social Media Management
- Manage AFTCO's social media presence across all platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, X, YouTube, & LinkedIn) including replying to comments + messages as well as engaging with other pages and posts.
- Engage with the AFTCO Pro Facebook Group members and other online communities, fostering a positive environment that encourages participation and interaction.
- Collaborate with the Senior Creative Manager to develop and execute a social content calendar.
- Generate creative and engaging content ideas to grow audience engagement and brand awareness.
- Monitor social media trends and analyze performance metrics.
Events
- Assist with the setup and teardown of the AFTCO booth at trade shows and other events.
- Coordinate the preparation of promotional materials, products, and displays for events.
- Represent AFTCO professionally at events, interacting with attendees and building relationships.
Marketing Support
- Manage AFTCO's custom branding program, assisting customers and liaising with vendors.
- Administer the distribution and collection of product surveys.
- Contribute to copywriting projects for various marketing materials
- Assist with the packing and organization of products for photoshoots
