Job Description

*This is a 3-year contract*

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage, update, and analyze spatial data within GE Smallworld and other GIS platforms.
• Process and integrate GIS data from multiple sources, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
• Perform data quality checks and troubleshoot discrepancies in geospatial datasets.
• Utilize ESRI ArcGIS tools to visualize, manipulate, and interpret spatial information.
• Assist with utility mapping, asset management, and infrastructure planning.
• Collaborate with engineers, field teams, and other stakeholders to provide GIS support.
• Develop and maintain GIS documentation, including metadata and workflows.
• Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in GIS technologies.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Minimum 2 years of GIS experience (utility experience preferred).
• Proficiency in GE Smallworld GIS and/or ESRI ArcGIS software.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret spatial data and generate meaningful insights.
• Experience working with utility
• Knowledge of geospatial databases, coordinate systems, and data conversion techniques.
• Degree in GIS, Geography, Environmental Science, or a related technical field preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently.
