PROJECT ENGINEER / OFFICE ENGINEER (MECHANICAL CONSTRUCTION)

Autumn is hiring a full-time Project Engineer to support our expanding mechanical department. This is a direct-hire position with long-term career potential. Salary Range: $65,000 – $80,000 per year, based on experience

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain up-to-date project documentation including drawings, specifications, materials and equipment submittal logs, RFI logs, meeting minutes, change orders, and other related materials
• Research and prepare equipment and material submittals for A/E review; draft and review RFIs and clarification requests
• Review contract document revisions and assist in preparing cost proposals and change order requests
• Monitor project progress and prepare schedule performance reports, pay estimates, and correspondence
• Attend project meetings and coordination sessions as needed
• Support the project manager with reports, spreadsheets, and other documentation
• Assist with project closeout documentation, including commissioning, Operations & Maintenance Manuals, as-built drawings, and training materials

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s or Associate Degree in Construction Engineering, Building Technology, Construction Management, Civil or Mechanical Engineering
• 3–5 years of experience, preferably in mechanical construction
• Familiarity with mechanical systems: chilled water, heating hot water, central heating and refrigeration plant systems, natural gas, and HVAC ventilation
• Strong work ethic and communication skills; organized and capable of multitasking
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel and Word), Bluebeam/Adobe, and Procore
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
• Valid driver’s license, current car insurance, and clean driving record
• Must pass a background check
