We are looking for a passionate and experienced Consulting Medical Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in providing high-quality patient care, with a particular focus on injections, and a commitment to improving patient health outcomes. This role will involve working closely with a team of healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive medical consultations, treatments, and follow-up care to patients. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and a keen eye for detail, ensuring that each patient receives the best possible care.
Responsibilities:
As a Consulting Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for:
1. Assisting healthcare professionals in providing direct patient care in a consultative setting.
2. Administering injections and performing venipunctures as required.
3. Preparing and organizing medical tools and equipment for examinations and procedures.
4. Recording and updating patient medical histories, vital signs, and information into medical records.
5. Coordinating with medical staff to ensure efficient patient flow and high-quality care.
6. Educating and advising patients on health conditions and treatment options.
7. Maintaining strict confidentiality and adhering to all HIPAA guidelines/regulations.
8. Conducting follow-ups with patients to monitor their recovery and ensure their satisfaction.
9. Participating in continuous professional development activities to stay up-to-date with the latest medical practices and regulations.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Consulting Medical Assistant position must possess the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Medical Assistant, with a focus on administering injections.
2. Certification from an accredited Medical Assisting program.
3. Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
4. Proficiency in medical procedures and terminology, particularly regarding injections.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and medical staff.
6. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
7. Proven ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards.
8. Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
9. Demonstrated commitment to continuous professional development and learning.
10. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
