IP RECRUITER GROUP is recruiting for the following opportunity: We are seeking an experienced patent attorney with a strong life sciences background for an established and well-respected law firm. This impressive group of practitioners has been steadily expanding as they continue to attract sophisticated work from a wide range of clients. The focus of the work will primarily relate to the preparation and prosecution of patents for complex and highly valued patent portfolios, while also supporting practice needs in other related areas (e.g., patentability, infringement, validity, and freedom to operate opinions and related analysis; portfolio strategy and management; due diligence). Notably, this is a very team-oriented, friendly, and cooperative environment with a great retention track record, thus your talent will be matched with opportunity and responsibility. In particular, associates are entrusted with substantial client interaction and must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Patent Attorney Requirements: Ph.D. in life sciences (e.g., organic chemistry, biochemistry, molecular biology, biotechnology) is strongly preferred. CA State bar and USPTO bar. Must have at least 2 years of full-time claim drafting and patent prosecution experience with a reputable law firm. Strong academic credentials.
