Job Description

Job Summary:

Dexian is seeking a Python Developer for an opportunity with a client located in Dearborn, MI.

• The candidate will focus on backend development using Python to support machine learning models. This includes building and optimizing backend systems that integrate with data pipelines and machine learning frameworks to ensure smooth operations
• The candidate will connect various backend frameworks and tools to ensure seamless integration across systems. They will be responsible for troubleshooting issues and ensuring stable functionality in production
• Experience with cloud platforms (preferably GCP, but AWS is also acceptable) will be important, as the candidate will need to ensure that backend systems are deployed in the cloud efficiently, supporting scalability and reliability
• The candidate will be responsible for managing backend deployments, optimizing systems for production, and ensuring that Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD) processes are maintained
• Working in an agile environment, the candidate will be part of a two-week sprint cycle, where they will quickly understand requirements, develop solutions, test them, and review results in a fast-paced, iterative manner
• Due to the rapid evolution of technology, the candidate will need to quickly learn new tools and technologies, picking them up within 2 weeks. They will be expected to stay up to date with emerging trends and adapt to new frameworks as required

Requirements:

• Strong proficiency in Python for backend development, particularly in connecting machine learning models and data pipelines
• Experience with cloud platforms, preferably GCP or AWS, to ensure seamless backend operations in the cloud
• Solid understanding of DevOps processes, including CI/CD, for managing deployments and optimizing backend systems
• Quick learner with a proven ability to rapidly adapt to new tools, concepts, and technologies within 2 weeks
• Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to work in an agile environment with quick iteration cycles
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, backend engineers, and product managers
• Experience in backend system design and integration is a plus, as well as familiarity with containerization and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
• Familiarity with machine learning frameworks and libraries like TensorFlow and PyTorch
• Experience working in containerized environments (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
• Knowledge of backend system design, API development, and integration best practices
