Job Description

The Finance Internship at ATHLETES FIRST will provide you with a great deal of hands-on experience and insight into the world of sports through the agency lens. It is a great opportunity for a passionate, creative, and focused graduate or exceptional undergraduate student who is interested in a career in sports or entertainment management. Over the course of the internship, the candidate would work closely with an our finance department, assisting in a variety of both challenging and interesting projects surrounding our professional and collegiate athletics.

*The Summer Internship will begin May 5th to August 29th

General Finance & Accounting Projects
  • Prepare standard reports for finance and business teams
  • Manage weekly process of expense categorization
  • Assist with data and financials for presentations
  • General office duties and administrative services as assigned
  • Reconcile and improve transaction data related to expenses
  • Improve base data related to clients and billing
Operations & Process
  • Documentation and create presentations related to operational policies and process
  • Work-flow and process improvement analysis
  • Ad hoc projects in Accounting and Finance as needed
Requirements:
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Extremely organized and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Polished written and oral communication skills
  • Strong ability to work as part of a team, as some coworkers will be in satellite offices
  • Critical thinker and problem solver
  • Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)

*This is a for-credit internship. You must be able to receive college credit to be eligible for the internship*
