In this role you will lead the data, analytics and marketing intelligence capabilities for Covered California’s paid media campaigns across marketing ecosystem. You will analyze data, test strategies and tactics, measure results, and make recommendations to improve marketing performance. As a Marketing Specialist, you will:

• Lead all paid media performance efforts from setting KPIs to final campaign performance reports.
• Leverage MarTech solutions to inform and enhance marketing efforts.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to inform data strategy initiatives, coordinate efforts, and cross-share learnings.
• Develop engaging presentations and data visualizations to communicate the impact of marketing efforts.

This position is headquartered in Sacramento County, 1601 Exposition Blvd, Sacramento, CA. Business travel may be required, and reimbursement considers an employee’s designated headquarters office subject to regulations and bargaining unit contract provisions. Travel expenses associated with commuting to the employee’s office headquarters location are not reimbursable, other than authorized transit subsidies.

Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) Instructions: A SOQ is required to apply. The SOQ will be used as a pre-interview screening tool. Applicants who do not follow the SOQ instructions and/or do not answer the prompt as stated below may not be considered.

The statement of qualifications (SOQ) serves as documentation of your ability to present information clearly and concisely in writing. The Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) responses must specifically address the desirable qualifications and follow these guidelines: 

• The SOQ responses should be numbered in the same order as SOQ questions. 

• The SOQ should be in 12-point Arial font, single-spaced, and limited to no more than two (2) pages total. 

1. Detail your experience with various marketing channels and how do you approach analyzing and optimizing these channels based on data? 

2. Explain a situation where you identified a trend or pattern from marketing data that led to a strategic shift. How did you communicate this to stakeholders, and what was the outcome?
